I've been doing this for 8 days and I never really went into the blog with a plan - I just started blogging. Therefore, there have been some changes. I think the changes will be for the better. It may take a bit longer for me to find my footing, but I'll get there, sooner or later.
Last week I presented you with a trivia challenge. Either it was too hard - or no one was interested. I really don't know. But I do know I have not provided you with the answer.
Let's review:
I told you each of these men had something in common. I didn't want to show their entire faces because they were also on television as well as radio.
If I had shown you the middle face:
You would have probably known him: George Fenneman.
Fenneman was the announcer/emcee for Groucho Marx on You Bet Your Life, both on radio and television.
The other two gents:
Ken Carpenter (Lux Radio Theater, etc.) |
Bill Goodwin (Burns and Allen radio announcer) |
They always seem to say how dashing Bill Goodwin is. Doesn't seem so in this picture.
ReplyDeleteWell, he is "smooth." I think that probably has some appeal. He was also tall and broad-shouldered - in the 6' 3" range as I recall.
