I hope you will forgive the way the blog looks - one day it looks like this and another like something else.

I've been doing this for 8 days and I never really went into the blog with a plan - I just started blogging.  Therefore, there have been some changes.  I think the changes will be for the better.  It may take a bit longer for me to find my footing, but I'll get there, sooner or later.

Last week I presented you with a trivia challenge. Either it was too hard - or no one was interested. I really don't know. But I do know I have not provided you with the answer.

Let's review:

I told you each of these men had something in common.  I didn't want to show their entire faces because they were also on television as well as radio.

If I had shown you the middle face:

You would have probably known him: George Fenneman.

Fenneman was the announcer/emcee for Groucho Marx on You Bet Your Life, both on radio and television.

The other two gents:
Ken Carpenter (Lux Radio Theater, etc.)

Bill Goodwin (Burns and Allen radio announcer)

  1. They always seem to say how dashing Bill Goodwin is. Doesn't seem so in this picture.

  2. Well, he is "smooth." I think that probably has some appeal. He was also tall and broad-shouldered - in the 6' 3" range as I recall.

Let me know what you think of this post or this site! It only take a few seconds and I'd really appreciate your comments...
